New Patients

How To Make An Initial Appointment

If you're looking to schedule a NEW PATIENT counseling appointment, please visit our Providers page to find a provider that aligns with your treatment and insurance needs. On the Provider page, you will find everything you need to know about each provider, including their specialties, experience, accepted insurances, email, Psychology Today profile, patient portal link and telehealth link. You can reach out to individual providers via email for an initial consultation. Alternatively, feel free to call or text our office at (256) 808-2522 to request an appointment. Note that our counselors are in sessions Monday to Friday. Calls and texts for new appointments will be returned in the order they are received and could be returned after normal business hours.

What Happens Next

Once you have been in contact with a provider and you have agreed to work together, you will be signed up for our patient portal. You will receive an email from Therapy Portal which will invite you to create an account. Once you create an account, you can complete all your patient paperwork online, as well as download copies of your insurance cards and payment methods. Please keep in mind, all new patient paperwork must be completed at least 24 hours prior to your appointment. This allows your practitioner to look over your paperwork and verify your insurance.  Once your paperwork is completed. you are all set! You will receive an email and text message reminding you of the day and time of your appointment. Should you need to cancel your appointment, please reach out to your individual provider by email or call or text us at (256) 808-2522. If you need directions to our office, please refer to the Directions page. Please be aware: we have a large emotional support dog, Astro.  He is very friendly but has a very loose concept of personal space. If you do not like dogs, please let us know prior to your appointment so we can put him in the back prior to your arrival. We look forward to meeting you!
